FINALLY it was warm enough to play for an extended length of time outside, long enough for Ben to play and not throw a fit when it was time to come in. John fixed our fence yesterday, I cleaned up the flowerbeds (my day lilies are already blooming up!) in the backyard and Ben roamed and explored. For the most part, he was content playing on his own while carrying his broom or rake through the yard. I didn't get a picture but while John was mowing, Ben followed him around the yard pushing his own mower. Once John stopped the mower to empty it, Ben would run over to it and reach up to push it, he was very fascinated with this new piece of machinery. We have spent too much time indoors this winter and I think all 3 of us are ready to spend our weekends in the backyard!
Update on what Ben has been up too.....
- Showing signs of terrible two's.... serious fit throwing going on in our house. We now have to alleviate the "no-no Ben" with a thank you at the end, lessens the screaming.
- Picky, picky eater. He does love all fruit, squashes (winter and butternut), peanut butter crackers, rice cakes, teddy grahams, yogurt, bread, my meatloaf and sometimes chicken - that is pretty much his diet.
- Very chatty but still haven't gotten a distinct word out yet, lots of letters but no words
- Climbs up in the furniture like the speed of lighting
- Loves to throw is food on the floor and say "uh-oh"
- Sits in bed with us to watch Family Guy (yes he loves it) and snuggles!
